It's About Time
From our first meeting 8 years ago, the story has been unique and ours. We've had highs and lows, but the love was constant.
A long time in the making - but Jeff and Megan are tying the knot! We're so excited to share the start of our life together with you.
After spending a few days on Sanibel Island in early April, we biked down to the Sanibel Lighthouse Sunday morning to watch the sunrise. I hid my plan by telling Megan I wanted to take pictures of the sunrise using my new camera. After finding the perfect spot, I rigged up the camera on a branch, set it to take one picture each second and we began to watch.
After a minute or two, I asked Megan to go in front of the camera so there would be a picture of the two of us there that day. After following her into the frame, we waved at the camera, and then turned to continue watching the sunrise. After a few special words to her, I got down on one knee, pulled a ring from my pocket and asked, "Will you marry me?"
She said yes...and then we went to breakfast!
The Beach. The perfect place for us.
In May 2006, Megan took a chance and went on a trip with the church college class (people she had never met) to Destin, FL. Having only been on one date with Jeff prior to the trip, they used the time to really get to know each other and the relationship grew. On the last day of the trip, they found themselves the last ones on the beach where they enjoyed the sunset and their first kiss.
From our first kiss, vacations and our engagement - quite simply, the beach is our favorite place on earth. We can't imagine a better place to start our life together.
The Travel Info
Where you're headed
How to get there
By Plane: We recommend flying into Northwest Florida Beaches Airport (ECP) in Panama City Beach. From there, it's approximately 45 minutes to the ceremony and reception site.
Driving From Memphis: After MANY trips for reference, we recommend taking US-78 to Birmingham, catch I-65S to Montgomery, take exit 164 for US-31S and follow that all the way until it terminates into US-98 in Florida. Take a right, take your first left onto Old Blue Mountain Road - and you're there! It's an awesome drive - enjoy it!
Where to stay
There are a lot of great options down on 30A. We recommend renting a condo or house with friends if you know others going to the wedding. Use VRBO.com to take a look at all the options available in Blue Mountain Beach, Dune Allen Beach, Santa Rosa Beach (these are the closest areas) or just take your pick at any one of the awesome towns down the way.
If you want us to help you with a recommendation - PLEASE ask! We can find you a great (and CHEAP) place!
What to do
A few years ago, my friend Jill took her inaugural trip down to Seaside. I pulled together this comprehensive guide to the best places to eat, shop and play down on 30A. So - go wild!

We're having a Blue Mountain Beach Bonfire! Everyone in town on Friday night is invited to join us from 7-10pm at Blue Mountain Public Beach for Smores and drinks. We really hope you can make it!
We love you all deeply, and are so blessed that you want to honor us with gifts to start our new life together. Since we're combining two households, we don't need a lot - in fact, we already have two of most things! We've picked out some goodies, and are registered at myRegistry.com.
We didn't register the traditional way, instead myRegistry.com brings items from different stores into one place.myRegistry.com
